The Ancient Church of Prophet Isaiah

The Church of the Prophet Isaiah, known as "Mar Chaaya," is one of the ancient churches of Broummana, located on Rue des Églises (the Street of the Churches). It was built in 1560, and its façade is distinguished by ablaq stone decoration dating from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. In 1965 a nineteenth-century bell was installed in it that had originally belonged to the Saint George church of Broummana. It is a "hall-church" in type, remains in good condition, serves the parish, and seats about fifty people.
